Volunteer Opportunities

Service centered around the gospel is motivated by the reconciling work of God and seeks to extend His grace and mercy to others for His glory and not our own. It is an expression of love and stewardship of grace marked by humility, generosity and hospitality and empowered by a passion for the glory of God.

Service can and should be pursued in various ways by all recipients of varied grace. Those who have been impacted by the gospel have countless opportunities – both formal and informal – to serve others by greeting at the doors of the church, volunteering in one of our Next Generation ministries, teaching, singing, serving communion, giving financially to the needs of others, opening their homes to their neighbors, etc.

 Counter Team

The Counter Team is responsible to collect and protect the receipts after each worship service. This team counts the receipts and assists in the annual distribution of the contribution statements. Members of this team must demonstrate financial aptitude. Spiritual gifts include administration. Team members must also be confidential, ethical and honest. We ask that members of this team commit to one year of service. In no instance, shall more than one family member serve on this team.

This may include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, straightening up the Worship Center, setups, etc. Volunteers must commit to serving from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Saturdays.

Maintaining the exterior of the buildings and also the landscaping across the campus.

The landscape team participates several times a year making sure the outside of the church looks as good as the inside. Trimming trees, clearing walk ways among other landscaping care projects land on the list of what this team assists with.

If you consider Bay Area Baptist your home church and have skill, equipment or desire to help with facility beautification on the landscaping, please join our crew!
